The muon magnetic moment and supersymmetry

In recent years, a significant deviation between the experimental determination and the Standard Model theory prediction of the muon magnetic moment has been established. This deviation is a strong observational hint for the existence of TeV-scale physics beyond the Standard Model, and it could be particularly naturally explained by sub-TeV-scale supersymmetry. In the talk, the recent progress on the Standard Model and supersymmetric prediction is reviewed, and consequences of the deviation for physics beyond the Standard Model, particularly supersymmetry, are discussed.
